Kodak Black is certainly one of the most controversial rappers in the hip-hop world. The Super Gremlin’s mouth has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion. Black also wants his car and money back from Florida cops.
The rapper is known to do questionable things from time to time, annoying many people in the process. As previously reported, recently, Kodak Black was arrested at a Florida traffic stop. This is because police officers found 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash during the search.
He paid a $75K bond and was released from jail the following day. His lawyer then claimed that the pills were prescribed after he was shot. According to TMZ, the Florida police who arrested him are still holding onto his car and money.
As revealed by legal documentation, Kodak Black is asking the court to make the Florida Highway Patrol officers who arrested him return a Dodge Durango and $74,960 in cash they seized during the arrest.
Kodak’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, added that Black can prove the car and cash belong to him. Cohen claimed the Durango is registered to Florida-based record label Sniper Gang, and Kodak is a manager of that entity.
As Kodak has already turned over the prescriptions for the pills found in the vehicle, Cohen claimed that there is no legal basis for the police to continue to hold the car and return it as soon as possible.
As for the money, Cohen claims it is normal for a rapper as Kodak needs large sums of money on him to pay various expenses on tour. We will keep you updated on this ongoing story.
