Anne Heche ‘Peacefully’ Taken Off Life Support

It has been a week since actress Anne Heche was involved in a tragic accident that critically injured her. For the past week, the actress had been battling her injuries. However, she was taken off life support Sunday afternoon.

A representative for the actress informed TMZ that “Anne Heche has been peacefully taken off life support.” The rep also revealed that doctors had been planning to take her off life support on Sunday, until which point she was kept on it to keep her organs viable for donation.

Anne had been declared dead on Friday. However, she had been kept on life support in order to keep her heart beating, so that her organs could be preserved. As of this writing, there is no news of potential donor matches.

As reported earlier, Anne had crashed her Mini Cooper in Los Angeles, on the 5th of August. The crash had left the actress with severe burns, and left her in a coma that she did not recover from.

Anne was 53 at the time of her passing. Our hearts and prayers go out to her friends and family. May she rest in peace.
