Kanye West has been making headlines for many reasons as of late. The rapper spent quality time with OnlyFans model Monica Corgan, and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian is glad he’s putting himself out there.
The rap legend recently said that looking at the homeless is a good source of design inspiration. It seems he is already putting the money where his mouth is. The artist’s Yeezy Gap line hit New York City’s Times Square store in July.
The Gap clothing line was displayed in a rather unorthodox fashion at the stores. Fans noticed that they weren’t neatly organized on hangers, but rather came in eco-friendly bags that looked a lot like trash bags. This choice made the fans wonder, but apparently, it came from Kanye himself.
Owen Lang, a Twitter user, revealed what a store rep had to say. Kanye West himself wanted his Yeezy GAP line to be displayed in large bags. Ye even got mad when he found the clothes on the traditional hangers.
This is how they are selling Yeezy GAP. The sales associate said Ye got mad when he saw they had it on hangers and this is how he wanted it. They won’t help you find ur size too, you just have to just dig through everything
The fans found this to be a polarizing choice on the artist’s part. This presents a difficulty for customers to find the right size for themselves. However, Kanye West most likely has a particular reason for the eclectic choice. Why he made the choice is probably something we might only be able to speculate.
