Chris Brown and Lil Baby are scheduled to perform at the Toyota Center in Houston on Wednesday. For a while, it seemed that the show was at risk of cancellation, but now fans in Houston can breathe easy.
One upset Houston resident, LaJuan Bailey, filed documents through her real estate company, requesting the court to intervene and stop the rappers from carrying out their “One Of Them Ones” show.
The documents, which were acquired by TMZ, revealed that Bailey wanted to prevent Chris Brown from performing. In addition, she also wanted the rapper to explain why he missed a charity gig in the area a few months ago.
Bailey had reportedly spent $1 million to get Brown to perform at the charity event which was for hurricane benefit relief. Brown’s representatives, however, claimed that the contract stipulations hadn’t been met, and that the rapper had provided a 2-day notice before canceling. The rapper had also attempted to make a donation in lieu of his presence, but to no avail.
It seems that the law is on Brown’s side in this instance. The judge was quick to decline Bailey’s request, allowing the show to go on as planned.
