Tristan Thompson and Maralee Nichols have been embroiled in a family court lawsuit. However, in spite of this, Thompson has been paying child support to Nichols for their son, Theo.
In a legal letter sent to Page Six, Thompson’s attorney revealed that the athlete “is paying, and has paid, child support to Ms. Nichols retroactive to the date she delivered the child.”
Nichols gave birth to her and Thompson’s child, Theo, back in December last year. Earlier this year, a representative for Nichols had claimed that Thompson had provided no financial assistance whatsoever.
It seems that Thompson is paying his dues, at least as far as financial support is concerned. A source close to Nichols revealed that Thompson has not yet made any attempts to even meet his son.
That being said, following the results of the paternity test conducted by Nichols, Thompson previously expressed a desire to raise Theo amicably. Here’s hoping that he follows through on his promise.
