Marcell Ozuna is facing some deep trouble with the law yet again. The Atlanta Braves outfielder was recently arrested for driving under the influence.
Ozuna was arrested on Friday early in the morning, according to TMZ Sports. Records indicate Ozuna was taken into custody at 4:39 AM and released shortly after bonding out of the Gwinnett County Jail. He was detained on accusations of DUI and lane violation.
According to a representative for Norcross PD, Ozuna was speeding and failed to stay in one lane before being stopped and taken into custody. His driving was considered “improper” and “unsafe.” A routine patrolling officer stopped Ozuna, performed field sobriety tests, and then arrested him for DUI. It’s unknown whether blood or breath tests were done.
On Thursday night in Atlanta, the Braves defeated the Mets in a huge game, however, Ozuna did not play in the game. He was previously detained in May 2021 after he was suspected of hitting up his wife in an incident in Sandy Springs, GA. This arrest is Ozuna’s second in the past 15 months.
A few months after the incident, Ozuna agreed to participate in a pretrial diversion program to end the case, but the MLB still suspended him for 20 games. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
