Tom Brady has been absent from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ extended training camp due to “personal” reasons, and no one is aware of his whereabouts at this time. The seven-time Super Bowl champion’s absence has sparked much speculation.

One Redditor has proposed a shocking theory as to why Brady is absent and why Bowles has failed to give a date for his return. The Redditor believes Tom Brady left training camp to appear on Fox’s The Masked Singer. The facts offered in favor of the theory are feeble and superficial, and the whole affair appears to be done in jest.

While Brady does have a contract with Fox that extends beyond his role as the network’s No. 1 NFL analyst. It is said that it will not begin until he retires from football. Also, the idea that they’d expect him to skip nearly two weeks of training camp for something he could do after football is a ridiculous exaggeration.

This is what happens when one of the league’s most prominent players leaves camp without saying anything and his team fails to manage the messaging. The Bucs made an attempt to handle it on Friday, with coach Todd Bowles suggesting he knows when Brady would return, a day after Bowels admitted he didn’t. With Brady remaining silent and the circumstances fueling suspicion, it’s understandable that something weird would arise.

This absurd theory, as well as the tremendous media around it, has become too big to ignore.
