Tyrese Gibson Defends Buying His 15-Year-Old Daughter A Rolls-Royce

Tyrese Gibson recently ended what he considered a toxic relationship. He appears to be devoting all of his efforts to his family right now. The actor/singer has proven to be a family man over the years, but a recent present to his daughter has some wondering if he went too far.

In a recent Instagram video, the Fast & Furious star showcased a gift he gave his daughter for Back To School Week: a white Rolls-Royce. “My babies starts the 9th grade, she will be pulling up in style,” Tyrese wrote over the video. In the video, the luxury car is decked with balloons spelling out Shayla, Tyrese’s oldest daughter’s name.

Gibson’s daughter posed in front of the car while Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” played in the background. Tyrese predicted backlash to the post in his caption. “Don’t tell me what you would and or wouldn’t do for your teen,” the “Sweet Lady” singer wrote.

“When you really got it? Most 1% r’s will put 10 million in their child’s money market account at birth and let it grow interest by the time they turn 18 they will want for nothing…: Instantly become a monthly TRUST FUND BABY. Shayla my first born just turned 15 she deserves the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!”
