The Kardashians have always managed to be in the spotlight, be it for a good reason or otherwise. Recently, a list was released that revealed the names of celebrities who use too much water amid California’s drought and Kim and Kourtney were on the list.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Kim and Kourtney are targets for exceeding California’s water limits during the drought in Southern California. Many other celebrities are also on the list.
The warnings told Kim and Kourtney that, since the EPA declared a drought emergency at the end of last year, they had over 150% of their monthly water limits at least four times. Severe drought and previously unheard-of water restrictions are now in their third year in Southern California.
Sylvester Stallone, Dwyane Wade, and Kevin Hart are among the A-list celebrities charged with water wasting in the San Fernando Valley communities of Calabasas and Hidden Hills. The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District recently sent “notices of exceedance” to 2,000 subscribers, including celebrities.
Others are also criticizing Kourtney for her Poosh company, which promotes holistic wellness, claiming that she preaches being good to your body but not the earth.
The Kardashians’ stars are being accused again and again of being too privileged to be in touch with reality. Recently, Kylie Jenner was blasted for showing off her and Travis Scott’s private jets as well as using a jet for a 17-minute flight. It is definitely high time that the KarJenners become more aware.
