Kobe Bryant influenced an entire generation of aspiring athletes. The Los Angeles Lakers won multiple championships during his 20-year stint with the franchise. Sadly, Kobe and his daughter Vanessa lost their lives in a helicopter crash.
Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles County for allegedly sharing unauthorized photos from the January 2020 helicopter crash that killed her husband, daughter and seven others.
According to TMZ, Vanessa Bryant’s co-plaintiff Chris Chester has sought millions in damages as the trial over the Kobe crash photos nears an end. His attorney has asked for up to a combined $75 million for both families.
Vanessa Bryant’s lawyer, Craig Lavoie, gave closing remarks in the courtroom on Tuesday. He said Vanessa will constantly live in fear, knowing the photographs could hit the internet at any moment.
“Anytime, any day, that can be the day. Every day they will live in the fear that that is the day they will resurface.”
It was previously revealed that the deputies first exchanged pictures of the crash during a game of Call of Duty. One of the LA County Fire Department supervisors wanted the pictures gone from the devices of deputies.
