Offset gained recognition as a member of the rap trio Migos in 2017. The group consists of Offset’s cousin Quavo, and Quavo’s nephew Takeoff. Offset recently sued Quality Control Lawsuit for allegedly breaching an agreement relating to his solo career. Now he’s getting support from wife Cardi B amid the latest controversy.
According to court documents, Offset and Quality Control entered into an agreement for Offset’s artist rights. The rapper claimed he “paid generously” to the record label as well. He further stated that the Baby Keem-produced song “54321” was released in violation of the two parties’ contract.
Cardi B was silent about the whole drama until she took to social media on Wednesday to share her two cents on the ongoing legal battle between her husband and Quality Control Records. Here’s what the “WAP” hitmaker had to say about the controversy.
“Offset bought himself out his Qc deal after they didn’t want to renegotiate his contract,” she penned. “I’m tired of people trying to make offset look like the bad guy …..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”
Offset is currently focusing on his solo career, which is taking off at the same time that Quavo and TakeOff are working on their future project. Keep reading Thirsty for more.
