J. Cole is one of the most talented rapping basketball players around. Cole even played professional basketball in Africa last year, and he left quite an impression on fans, for those who may not recall. During the off-season, the Grammy Award-winning rapper was spotted showing off his basketball moves.
Despite having departed the Scarborough Shooting Stars, J. Cole has continued to develop his basketball talents. Recently, the Grammy Award-winning rapper who has transitioned into a basketball star was seen displaying his prowess on the court while away from his Canadian Elite Basketball League team.
A few weeks ago, the native of Fayetteville was spotted in Ottawa supporting his old club as they competed against the Hamilton Honey Badgers in a final game. Even though Cole was a successful professional basketball player who played for the Scarborough Shooting Stars in 2022 and the Basketball Africa League in 2021, he ultimately had to leave the squad after four games to go on tour.
Two three-pointers that helped Scarborough defeat the Newfoundland Growlers 99-81 were among their best efforts. The Canadian squad advanced to the finals after the rap star left the team to accept a job with Drake. To Drake’s dismay, they finally dropped the championship.
Cole had help from Drake to get the basketball contract. If anything, he sure got to live out his dream as a pro baller. Watch J. Cole demonstrate his skills below.
