DaBaby is no stranger to popularity or the controversy that comes with it. The star became famous after he put out many mixtapes from 2014 to 2018. He’s been popular for both reasons, good and bad. While everyone remembers the Rolling Loud rant from the rapper, he also donated money to help people in Nigeria.
The rapper was all set to perform in New Orleans in an upcoming show. However, a New Orleans media outlet Nola reports that the show has been canceled for not having enough ticket sales.
DaBaby’s show was set for 2 September. According to Nola, the lack of ticket sales was so dire that less than 500 people bought the tickets while the arena for the show has a capacity of 14,000 people. Even when the ticket prices were as low as $35, fans bought only a few advance tickets.
The show was also set to feature Never Broke Again rapper NoCap. Showtek, an electronic music duo, was also going to fill an opening slot. The Ticketmaster event page now shows a cancellation message for the show, along with steps for getting refunds for tickets.
Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund. It will be processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 days. If the Event Organizer is offering a credit option, it will be visible within the Event Details of your order, which can be found in your Ticketmaster account. Please Note: If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will go to the fan who originally purchased the tickets from Ticketmaster.
DaBaby still has plenty to look forward to. Next in line for him is headlining the Paris edition of Hot 97’s Summer Jam on October 29. After that, the rapper is going to perform at the We Are One Festival in Houston, Texas.
