Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin were popular lovebirds in the 1990s. Sly Stallone and his long-term wife, Jen, are now splitting after 25 years of marriage. Recently, the veteran actor denied ‘intentional dissipation’ of marital assets in Jennifer Flavin’s divorce.
People reports that Sylvester Stallone responded to Jennifer Flavin’s divorce suit. According to court filings obtained by the outlet on Monday, Stallone disputed Flavin’s accusations that he “engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion, and/or waste of marital assets, which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate.” In his response, Stallone’s legal team stated that he “has not engaged” in that type of behavior.
Flavin’s request for “exclusive use” of their Palm Beach home was likewise met with opposition from the actor. Flavin requested the court to take notice of the “conduct of each party” that might possibly extend the process and encourage “mutual cooperation” to “reduce the cost” of legal fees. Stallone responded by stating that his wife “hired counsel to represent her and agreed to pay them their legal fees.”
Stallone did not object to Flavin’s petition to “restore” her maiden name and recognized that their union is “irretrievably broken.” Stallone denied that their 25-year marriage ended over a dog just days after Flavin filed for divorce.
Stallone refuted that their 25-year marriage ended because of a dog only days after Flavin filed for divorce. At the time, he addressed reports that their split occurred after he got a Rottweiler, Dwight, and that a fight over the dog triggered other arguments that led to the divorce filing.
