Diddy recently fulfilled one of his ‘biggest dreams’ by finally working with Dr. Dre in the studio. Obviously, this is something that is on a number of artists’ bucket list.
Diddy worked as a talent director at Uptown Records before founding his own record label, Bad Boy Records, in 1993. He has produced and nurtured musicians such as The Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Usher. Diddy recently fulfilled one of his ‘biggest dreams’ after hitting the studio with Dr. Dre.
The seasoned Bad Boy uploaded five images to Instagram showing the dynamic duo hard at work in the studio. Diddy said in the caption that one of his biggest dreams finally came true. He called Dr. Dre a ‘genius’ and acknowledged how Dre coached him through vocals.
Yesterday, one of my biggest dreams finally came true. I remember the first time I heard @DrDre’s production. It gave me clear direction on the level of Producer that I wanted to be. Last night, I got the chance to work with this man and to see his genius as he coached me through vocals. He reminded me of myself, but with a different style and way more focused. I gotta step my focus up! lol But it was a great experience and I thank God for it. I hope one day ya’ll get to have the same experience with someone that you always looked up to as a hero.
LOVE 🖤🙏🏿💫⚡️✨
The two music moguls joined forces to collaborate for Dr. Dre’s highly anticipated upcoming album with Snoop Dogg. Of course, Dr. Dre’s solo album has long been anticipated by fans. Snoop also posted a selfie of himself and Dre in the studio in March to hype up the project.
The project hasn’t materialized in the months following, but regular studio visits from well-known artists indicate that something is in the works. Conway The Machine also shared an Instagram picture of Kanye West puffing on a joint as Dr. Dre sat at the mixing board and looked at his phone. Let’s see what the masters are cooking for us.
