Britney Spears has had a rocky past few relationships, one being with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The two had a very public split in 2007 that saw the pop star awarded temporary custody of their two children. Now in a new interview, Kevin Federline revealed some intimate details related to their relationship.
TMZ reported that Kevin Federline delved into his lack of public support for his ex-wife Britney Spears’ battle to end her conservatorship in a teaser for an upcoming 60 Minutes Australia interview that was posted on Wednesday. In the teaser from the episode, which airs on Sunday, September 4, the 44-year-old former backup dancer said ultimately didn’t get involved in her attempts to end the arrangement because he was focused on raising their sons.
Kevin previously revealed that the sons he shares with Britney, 16-year-old Sean and 15-year-old Jayden, had skipped her wedding to Sam Asghari and hadn’t seen her in months. He clarified that it was partly due to semi-nude photos she posted to Instagram since the end of her conservatorship.
In the brief clip, Federline also admitted that he felt ‘mortified’ for his ex-wife after she was placed under a conservatorship for her person and her estate for 13 years. He asserted, “The boys, the boys, the boys. I had to worry about them, I couldn’t get involved.” Additionally, Sean and Jayden have apparently become disengaged from their mother recently, and they were not among the guests at her wedding in June.
The ex-power couple only dated for three months in 2004 before they got engaged in July of that year, and they were married by September. Britney gave birthday to Sean in September of 2005, and Jayden followed around a year later in 2006, but the pop star filed for divorce in November 2006, with it being finalized the following year. Keep an eye out on Thirsty to see how the situation turns out.
