NBC’s Peacock platform is set to be a lot lighter on the pockets of new subscribers. However, the offer is up for grabs for a limited period of time. The pricing for Peacock in September is drastically lower.
Peacock Premium previously came with a price tag of $4.99 per month. However, NBC has slashed its prices to a shocking $1.99. That is a 60% reduction in prices. For those seeking to stick with the platform for a longer time, there’s another offer.
The premium subscription package on an annual basis previously cost $49.99. In line with the 60% price reduction, the 12-month subscription to Peacock Premium only costs $19.99.
Rick Cordella, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer for Peacock, talked about the volume of sports content that is available on the platform in an interview. While there’s a lot of football and basketball content, fans can also enjoy WWE and golf content. In fact, people can enjoy the upcoming WWE Clash at the Castle PPV for only $1.99.
We [just] announced the Big 10 deal, so Big 10 football and basketball are coming on [to Peacock]. You mentioned WWE, but we [also] have a lot of golf. US Open, The Open Championship — exclusive hours from both of those big events. The French Open. Sunday Night Football, and the simulcast from NBC. We have an exclusive NFL game in 2023.
This is great news for the fans of football, basketball as well as pro wrestling. The offer is very lucrative, allowing fans to save up on a lot of money whether they choose the monthly or yearly subscription model.
