For many fans, Jon Jones is one of the best UFC stars to have ever graced the Octagon. Since last year, Jon Jones had a clear goal in mind when it comes to his UFC return. Jones has also been on a mission to get the kind of pay that he truly deserves.

For the past several months, Jon Jones stated on numerous occasions that he plans on making his MMA return this year. Not only that, Jon Jones even plans on becoming a champion in 2022.

Jon Jones even made it clear that he hopes to be in peak condition by Summer this year. Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic was being planned for this Summer as well, but there is no surety for that match.

While speaking to TMZ Sports, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson believes that Jon Jones should take a warm-up fight first in his heavyweight debut.

“Honestly, no cap, Jon Jones is the best person I ever fought. I don’t think I could give him advice. He’s a better fighter than me. I don’t know about Jon Jones’ chin. It’s been rumors saying that he doesn’t have a strong chin. You go to heavyweight, they hit harder, but I feel like Jones is a smart fighter. It was really hard for me to hit him. He would let me hit him.

Heavyweights are a different monster,” said Jackson. “I would say his first heavyweight fight he should do a warm-up. He shouldn’t go in there with the big boys.”

Dana White also previously stated that UFC has already had talks for Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic once Jones returns. We’ll have to see when Jon Jones will make his return to the Octagon this year.
