Tyson Fury retired from professional boxing, but it’s very possible to go back on that kind of thing in professional sports. It appears that retirement didn’t last long for Fury, because he will box again this year.
Fury was at WWE’s Clash at the Castle event in Cardiff. He even got physical during the main event match as he knocked Austin Theory out cold while he was trying to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.
Tyson Fury came out with Drew McIntyre during the press conference after WWE Clash at the Castle. During his time in front of the press, The Gypsy King took a moment to break some news about his own future.
“Usyk was calling me out after the fight with Joshua. I replied, I said, ‘let’s do the fight this year.’ Wherever they want to do it. I’ve been waiting for offers from countries to come forward and all of a sudden, Oleksandr Usyk said he doesn’t want to fight this year, he wants to figth next year and not this year, so I’m not gonna be waiting around for anybody. I’m gonna be announcing a fight next week.”
No indication of a future opponent for Tyson Fury was given during this public address. Odds are Oleksandr Usyk will not be a part of the announcement.
Tyson Fury was very confident in his announcement, and he picked this interesting location to get it done. With Drew McIntyre next to him and Triple H looking on at the end of the table, Tyson Fury confirmed that he will box again, and it’s going down this year. Keep checking back with Thirsty for more.
