Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world, as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in.
The Rock is also a businessman, and a very smart one at that. The Great One is universally beloved, but everything had to start from the beginning.
Brendan Fraser recently received a six-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival after his film The Whale received a great reception from viewers. This was a very wholesome moment as well.
The Rock took to Twitter and commented on the video, as he also paid tribute to Brendan Fraser for helping jumpstart his career with The Mummy Returns in 2001.
Man this makes me so happy to see this beautiful ovation for Brendan. He supported me coming into his Mummy Returns franchise for my first ever role, which kicked off my Hollywood career. Rooting for all your success brother and congrats to my bud Darren Aronofsky. #TheWhale 👏🏾
With just eight reviews, Rotten Tomatoes critics have, so far, scored the film at 75%. Many fans believe Brendan Fraser deserves all the praise he is getting and that’s all that matters. It’s hard to tell where The Rock would be without George of the Jungle’s help.
