Willow Smith is very provocative as an artist, with her music and style defiant of the traditional styles of being. She recently revealed that she faced racism while she was trying to enter the world of rock music.
Smith recently spoke with Glamour U.K. in a new interview. The 21-year-old opened up about her unorthodox hairstyle. She says that shaving her hair off was one of the most radical things she’s ever done for beauty’s sake.

The daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith says that “as a Black woman, there were a lot of layers” to how she related to her skin and hair. However, he sees just being herself as a radical thing.

The artist famously shaved her head while performing “Whip My Hair” while she played at a Facebook Live event. She shaves her head whenever there’s any major change in her life, as she said in a BTS clip.
I’m always shaving my head at monumental times in my life, when things are really changing. And this is definitely one of those moments.
Willow has taken it to the extreme as well. She shaved her head when she performed for her art piece called “The Anxiety.” Smith also spent 24 hours in a glass room at the Geffen Contemporary at the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles while people observed her.
