Conor McGregor remains one of the most talked-about and highly controversial fighters in the history of the MMA world. He has competed against the best of the best the sport has to offer.
This includes his highly lauded fights against Nate Diaz, as the two faced off against each other on two occasions at UFC 196 and UFC 202. They both have one victory over the other.
For quite a while now, many fans have been wondering whether the two will face off in a third fight and complete their trilogy together. Even Conor McGregor himself said a third fight must happen.
While speaking with Inside Fighting, The Stockholm brawler made it clear that he believes a trilogy fight with The Notorious One will happen somewhere down the line.
“The timing’s not on right now. We’ll worry about that later. It’s for sure gonna happen at some point… Yeah, at some point. Get back on it and get back on what he’s got to do, whatever that is. It’s like, when we match up we’re going to match up. But we ain’t going nowhere.”
Nate Diaz will be facing Khamzat Chimaev as his next opponent. We will have to wait and see whether Diaz will end up squaring off against Conor McGregor again in the future or not.
