Drake is a skilled artist who is aware of how terrific he is when it counts. He is not only a fantastic musician, but he also partners with Nike and has his own NOCTA brand, which has produced a number of collections over the past few years.
Drake was recently spotted at the Nike campus in Beaverton, Oregon. It should not be surprising that Drake would visit the company because he has had numerous business connections with Nike throughout the years. In fact, Drake was there to host the Nike Maxim Awards, a huge event attended by numerous Nike officials.
For the event, Drake was given his own monologue, and it was clear that he was at the best of his ability in terms of humor delivery. Drake even said something jokingly about New Balance, which unfortunately didn’t receive the laughter it deserved, as Brendan Dunne of Complex noted.
“Nike is 50. Nike’s so old, it’s wearing New Balance.”
This one received some groans from the audience, especially considering how diligently Nike executives work to maintain their brand’s reputation. Drake also made jokes about Ann Hebert, a Nike employee who was fired after her son conducted a reselling scheme.
Furthermore, the artist made fun of Nike’s supply-chain issues and even said a few things about the Oregon football team. Without a doubt, Drake was having a great time throughout the entire monologue. You can check out the video down below.
