Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled to hit theatres on February 17th, 2023, marking the first film in Phase 5 of the MCU. The D23 Expo recently presented the first screening of the movie. And the footage revealed that Kang the Conquerer has killed Avengers before.
Screen Rant had the chance to visit D23 Expo 2022, where the first Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania footage was shared at their Marvel panel. Despite the fact that the video is not currently accessible online, Screen Rant could still provide a description of what was displayed.
In the clip’s opening humorous line, Ant-Man says, “In that moment all I could think was ‘How did The Hulk turn me into a baby?’” This sparked a huge red flag for some fans.
The line came from Scott’s audiobook, which he, Hope, and Cassie are listening to while in the car. Later, Cassie transmits a signal to the quantum universe. Despite Janet’s instructions to turn it off, Hank, Hope, Cassie, and Scott are all sucked in as well. They encounter a man played by Bill Murray down there, and he tells Janet he believed she had passed away.
Kang then meets Scott and comes to know that he is an Avenger and asks, “Have I killed you before? They all blur together.” He confesses that something has been stolen from him, and Scott is the only one who can recover it. However, to his question, “Do we have a deal?” Scott replies, “No, I don’t think we do,” and Kang uses magic to throw him against a wall.
The movie will reunite the main cast with director Peyton Reed, however, Kathryn Newton will now play Cassie Lang, Scott’s daughter, as a teenager. Stay tuned to Thirsty for the latest updates.
