Drake also partners with Nike and has his own NOCTA brand, which has produced a number of collections over the past few years. However, despite the fact that Drake and Kanye West recently resolved their dispute, Drizzy still poked fun at Ye during this week’s Nike Maxim Awards.
Drizzy was recently spotted at the Nike campus in Beaverton, Oregon. The rapper was there to host the Nike Maxim Awards as part of its Just Do It Day, a huge event attended by numerous Nike officials.
Drake mocked Ye’s recent conflict with Adidas during his onstage speech at Nike HQ. The dispute started when West initially claimed the sports business stole his designs, and he later shifted his focus to other employees of the company. In a footage from the ceremony, Drake acknowledges his longtime association with Nike as “really truly an honor” before bringing up its competitor.
“And when you put things into perspective, you know, Adidas has Kanye — I think.”
Drake’s remarks come after Kanye West’s declaration last week that he considered his brief conflict with Adidas had come to a successful conclusion. Ye uploaded a couple of Instagram posts on Monday night, just after Swizz Beatz called for an Adidas boycott, indicating that his conflict with the major sportswear company had, at least temporarily, come to an end.
