Beverly Hills Cop revolves around Foley as he makes the journey from Detroit to Beverly Hills to uncover the murder of his close friend. He teams up with Reinhold’s Rosewood and John Ashton’s Taggart. The long-awaited Beverly Hills Cop 4 starring Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley recently teased the return of Detective Billy Rosewood.
Judge Reinhold plays the role of Detective Billy Rosewood. In the upcoming Beverly Hills Cop 4, actor Judge Reinhold previewed the return of Detective Billy Rosewood. The first installment of the series, which debuted Axel Foley, a Detroit cop, played by Eddie Murphy, was a huge success when it was released in 1984.
Two sequels to Beverly Hills Cop were made and released in 1987 and 1994, with the latter ultimately proving to be a dud on both counts. Despite Beverly Hills Cop III falling short of expectations, a fourth installment in the series has been in development for a while.
There are no confirmed plot elements for Beverly Hills Cop 4, which is now officially known as Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley, although production on the sequel is already in progress. It was recently confirmed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Paul Reiser, and Taylour Paige will also appear in the upcoming movie in addition to Murphy.
Murphy has already been spotted in set images for Beverly Hills Cop 4, along with Reinhold and Ashton, who appear to be reprising their roles as Rosewood and Taggart. Reinhold announced his return to the Beverly Hills Cop franchise with numerous new photographs in a recent tweet.
The photographs display Rosewood’s Beverly Hills Police Department insignia and a picture of Reinhold appearing ready for action in a pair of sunglasses and a vibrant Hawaiian shirt. The text reads, “California dreaming,” reiterating the film’s California locale. Check out Reinhold’s post below.
