Netflix’s Daredevil series has been regarded as one of the best superhero shows of all time. Cox recently appeared at D23 ahead of his ‘She-Hulk’ role. You might be disappointed to find that Matt Murdock will only appear in one episode if you were hoping to see a lot of him in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Charlie Cox, the man behind the mask, revealed in an interview at D23 this year that he won’t make a cross-series appearance and will instead just appear in one episode of the Disney+ series currently airing. According to Deadline, Cox described his involvement as a “very special episode,” though he was unable to reveal why Matt Murdock ended up in Jennifer Walters’ sphere of influence.
In addition, he praised Tatiana Maslany’s portrayal of the lawyer-turned-superhero. Cox revealed that he had wanted to collaborate with the former Orphan Black star for years and that it was exciting to see Matt Murdock in a “lighter” show than Daredevil, the Netflix-to-Disney+ series that he had previously praised.
The diabolical vigilante will appear in a number of upcoming MCU projects starring other heroes, including Spider-Man: Freshman Year, Echo, and She-Hulk, in addition to getting his own Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. Although it’s unclear what part he’ll play in either of those series, She-Hulk’s creative team and fans alike are overjoyed at the idea of seeing Hell’s Kitchen’s best hero once more.
She-Hulk creator Jessica Gao talked about writing Matt Murdock into her half-hour legal comedy, which is tonally quite different from the Netflix-turned-Disney+ series that first introduced Matt Murdock to viewers and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. New episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law are available for streaming on Disney+ every Thursday. Check out Cox’s comments about the show in the video below.
