Britney Spears had a tough time during her 13-year conservatorship. Her struggle is yet to be far from over as she is currently fighting for custody of her children. Spears also recently claimed that she will ‘probably never perform again’ because she’s ‘traumatized.’
According to Rolling Stone, the singer lamented the lack of control she had over her career during her 13-year conservatorship. She reflected on the work she created over her 13-year conservatory and said she will “probably never perform again.”
Spears began the post by bemoaning her lack of creative control over the music videos she released during that time period and her awful experience working with photographers. The article mostly targeted her father, Jamie Spears, who oversaw the pop singer’s estate from 2008 to 2021, in the usual form.
…[T]he most offensive SO CALLED professional pictures on every tour. I mean they could have at least cheated and retouched them for me … just saying … 2 day shoots for new show in Vegas literally the worst ever … and me excited for the pictures for 5 months on tour … they never showed me any. I’d rather quit sh-t in my pool and shoot photos of myself in studios over working with the most offensive people in my life.
I’m pretty traumatized for life and yes I’m pissed as f-ck and no I won’t probably perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point. kiss my God damn mother f-cking -ss.
Spears said her past experiences left her “traumatized” and uncertain of whether she will ever perform on stage again, adding that she felt uncomfortable with the number of dancers she was required to perform with on stage during her four-year Las Vegas residency. Although Spears has previously discussed the notion of giving up playing live, this is the first time she has brought up the idea since the conclusion of her conservatorship.
