Jamie Spears Appeals Britney Spears’ Conservatorship Ruling

Britney Spears is enjoying her life openly after the end of her infamous conservatorship. She got married, and since then has been showing off her life a lot more to fans. However, she is still not free from her past as her father Jamie Spears is unwilling to move on.

Jamie Spears claims that the judge didn’t make the correct assessment on the matter. He filed for an appeal of the decision, and further added that Britney Spears should have been properly questioned in a deposition. He went through a deposition, though the pop star did not.

The right to take a deposition can rarely be denied. In California, discovery is a matter of right.

TMZ obtained the legal documents, per which Jamie’s legal team also takes shot on Britney Spears and her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart. They claim that Spears and her lawyer did not establish proper grounds for her not sitting in a deposition.

Jamie Spears’ legal team also wrote that the court could have made sure to get Britney deposed with some exceptions. That would have allowed for thorough examination of the matter, but the court let her evade it completely.

The conservatorship has been long dissolved. However, Jamie Spears’ argument does make sense, and he demands equal and impartial legal treatment. Nobody knows whether something will come of this, because Britney Spears has a lot of support. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more.
