YNW Melly is suspected of murdering Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. in 2018. The Florida rapper and his associate Cortlen Henry, also known as YNW Bortlen, have been charged with first-degree murder. The rapper recently requested an emergency leave for dental care, but the judge denied it.
YNW Melly’s diamond-encrusted grill isn’t doing him any favors in jail. His recent request to be released from jail for emergency dental work was denied by the judge. The “Murder on My Mind” rapper is currently incarcerated in Broward County, Florida, awaiting trial for double murder.
TMZ reports, that YNW recently claimed to have a severe toothache that requires a trip to the dentist. Melly was unable to convince the judge, who rejected his motion on August 30, according to documents obtained by the outlet.
Melly’s full set of diamond dental crowns requires regular maintenance. However, he alleges that while incarcerated, he was not permitted to have a simple toothbrush, dental floss, or to have regular dental visits. As a result, he claims he developed a painful abscess in his lower jaw, which is the root of his chronic infection.
Melly says he has private insurance, and his lawyer claimed they are willing to pay for the treatments. Even though it would involve his own transportation and independent security, the judge said no.
Maybe if it gets really severe, the Judge will allow him to depart. For the time being, he must bear the pain. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
