Drake has the most nominations for the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2022. This year, the OVO Sound leader earned 14 nominations. Drake has been nominated for Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Hustler of the Year, and Hip Hop Album of the Year by BET (Certified Lover Boy).
He is also nominated for several Sweet 16 awards, including Best Featured Verse, Best Collaboration, Best Hip Hop Video, and Song Of The Year. Kanye West was nominated for 10 awards, including Best Live Performer, Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Producer of the Year, Hustler of the Year, and Hip Hop Album of the Year (Donda). Furthermore, Kendrick Lamar gets nine chances to win.
Kendrick is up for many awards, including Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Video Director of the Year, Hip Hop Album of the Year (Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers), and other honors. Future came fourth with eight nominations. Cardi B earned the most BET Award nominations by a female rapper in 2022. The “Hot S###” performer was tied with Baby Keem and J. Cole received six nods.
Doja Cat, Latto, Lil Durk, Tems, and Young Thug were also nominated for three awards. GloRilla, Jay-Z, Megan Thee Stallion, Nas, and Usher were all nominated twice. Drake, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar are among the nominees for Hip Hop Album Of The Year, along with Latto (777), Future (I Never Liked You), Pusha T (It’s Almost Dry), and Nas (King’s Disease II).
