Why Tom Holland Wasn’t With Zendaya At 2022 Emmy Awards

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards took place on Monday, the 12th of September. Zendaya was the winner in the “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series” category, for her portrayal of Rue Bennett on Euphoria. It was a big night, but her boyfriend wasn’t around.

While the Euphoria star attended the award ceremony, rocking a stunning strapless black Valentino gown, viewers took note of the fact that her boyfriend, Tom Holland, was not in attendance. This led many to wonder where Spider-Man was.

However, it seems that Tom has a very good reason for not attending the award ceremony, as he was preoccupied with work. The actor is currently filming the upcoming Apple+ series, “The Crowded Room,” and was spotted on set earlier in the day.

However, it seems that Zendaya is not entirely comfortable with the public nature of her relationship, and has expressed prior that she finds the attention her relationship with Holland gets to be “quite strange and weird and confusing and invasive.”

That being said, despite missing her boyfriend, it was quite the incredible occasion for Zendaya. The actress has made history by being the first black woman to win in the category twice and the youngest two-time Emmy winner ever. Here’s wishing both Zendaya and Tom more success in their careers
