Blake Shelton Still Has Wife Gwen Stefani Listed As ‘My Girlfriend’ On His Phone

Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani are the long-time couple who tied the knot of marriage last year. However, Blake just disclosed something that may surprise his admirers. Blake Shelton admitted that still he has saved Gwen Stefani as ‘My Girlfriend’ on his phone.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been together for seven years and married for one, but they are still in the “nervous phase.” In fact, in a new interview, the country artist stated that his wife is “still in [his] phone, literally, as ‘My Girlfriend.'” Shelton sought to defend himself, telling Hoda Kotb on Monday’s Today Show.

“I guess when you’re our age — and we’ve been together for seven years — it still seems like it’s pretty new to me. The nervous phase is still there.”

The “Happy Anywhere” colleagues, on the other hand, seem to accept each other’s eccentricities. Stefani is a big fan of Shelton’s ’80s-inspired mullet, which he wore in his newest song video, “No Body,” Shelton joked elsewhere in the interview.

“To Gwen, that’s like an exotic, weird thing.… She was never around people who had mullets. To her, it’s cool, and she probably wishes that I had one [in real life].”

Shelton and Stefani exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Oklahoma in July 2021. On their wedding day, the “Hollaback Girl” singer chose a Vera Wang gown, accessorized with her signature red lipstick and white platform boots.

When the “God’s Country” singer proposed with a magnificent solitaire diamond ring in October 2020, the couple became engaged. Shelton and Stefani began dating in late 2015 after meeting as “The Voice” coaches.

The Grand Ole Opry member formerly married Miranda Lambert, with whom he divorced in July 2015. Meanwhile, the No Doubt frontwoman filed for divorce from Gavin Rossdale, the father of her three sons, in August. Stefani marked their first wedding anniversary this summer by giving followers a peek into their fairy-tale wedding.

“1 year down, forever to go,” she wrote an Instagram video montage, tagging her husband, who replied, “I love you! Thank you for saying yes!” The touching video played to the music of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” featured moments such as their first kiss and first dance as bride and husband.
