Nick Cannon’s Pregnant Baby Mama Defends His Polyamorous Lifestyle

Nick Cannon doesn’t know when to stop when it comes to making babies. Similarly, Abby De La Rose, his baby mama, doesn’t limit herself to Nick as her only partner. Now she has come out to justify her open relationship with Nick.

Abby was with host Shan Boodram on Tuesday’s episode of the “Lovers and Friends” podcast. She strongly mentioned that she doesn’t care what anyone says about her “polyamorous” relationship with Nick Cannon. According to De La Rosa, Nick is her “primary partner” and she’s “monogamous by choice.” during her pregnancy.

“Being in a polyamorous relationship doesn’t mean you have low self-esteem or self-worth. I become hypersensitive when people attack me and my motherhood.”

De La Rosa added that This doesn’t mean that she is solely tied down to him or that her dynamic with Cannon and his other partners “is one big orgy.”  She revealed that she’s simply focusing on her pregnancy. However, it seems that the polyamorous aspect isn’t the issue, rather than the kids affected in the relationship.

“Me being open in my relationship does not change or take away from the type of mother that I am to my kids and the wholeness that I am to them and the strength that I share with them”

Fans believe that their open relationship is and will tamper with their kid’s minds. Abby counters this statement by saying that she wants her kids to grow up and make choices without being affected by what others think of their decisions. She also added the fact that she has so much to learn about being a mother and is slowly getting there.

“To do it their way, not the way that the world wants them to do … to do it their way the way mom and dad did”

Cannon is currently also expecting a baby boy with Brittany Bell, whom he already shares two children with. The couple announced the news in August, shortly after De La Rosa revealed hers. With Nick and his guns firing we can expect to see a couple more babies here and there down the line.
