The Kardashians have a lot of eyeballs on them, and everyone has their own opinion. Obviously, Kendall Jenner feels a certain type of way about things.
Kendall Jenner recently appeared on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast, wherein she gave an earnest interview about herself and her family. Primarily, the model expressed displeasure at the “false narratives” surrounding her family.
Jenner stated that people’s opinions about her family can “feel really unfair,” and that her family’s reputation has had an immense effect on her.
There’s so many false narratives. So many people think they have you figured out when they don’t even know the half of it. It can feel really unfair because that is not who I am. That can really get to me sometimes and that really sucks.
However, Kendall also revealed that she attempts to approach these narratives and opinions with a positive attitude, claiming that “looking at [herself] in the mirror and being like [she knows] who [she is], so why does anything else matter? Everything else is just noise.”
Jenner stated that this change in her mindset resulted from her beginning her modelling career, revealing that there were five core years when she was really overworked and unhappy. However, things changed for the better once she started setting boundaries.
I just wasn’t happy anymore so I had to set those boundaries for myself. I need to start saying “no” when I can and start prioritizing me and my well-being. It has done wonders for me.
It certainly seems like Kendall has found a balance in her professional life. That being said, public perception can truly have a tremendous effect on anyone, so it’s heartwarming to see her rise above it all.
