Olivia Newton-John’s publicist is irate that the late singer and actress was snubbed from the “In Memoriam” tribute at the Emmys. Now, the Grease star’s camp is a bit miffed about the snub.
According to TMZ, Michael Caprio, Olivia’s publicist of 24 years, stated that while the family is still grieving and not commenting at this time, he was legitimately upset over the snub.
Caprio feels, knowing the late singer’s contributions to Hollywood, it was just not a good move. This includes acting in television movies like “A Mom For Christmas” as well as appearing on “American Idol,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “Murphy Brown,” “Glee” and ‘DWTS.’
The 2022 Emmys faced a ton of backlash when viewers noticed Olivia and other stars were left out of the annual segment dedicated to stars who died within the last year.
Olivia passed away back in August due to breast cancer. She passed away at the age of 73. Her contributions will always be remembered no matter what.
