The Hollywood Bowl faced a terrible condition last night, as trees caught fire as thousands were exiting after a “Sound of Music” singalong.

People were leaving the location after the spectacular show as several palm trees on the property caught fire. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived promptly and put out the fire.

A user who attended the concert on Saturday night wrote about their experience. Obviously, this wasn’t the best time when it all wrapped up.

“Leaving the Hollywood Bowl after Sing Along Sound of Music and a small cluster of palm trees was on fire. It burned quickly and was barely embers by the time people reached their cars in stacked parking. While this was happening, the exiting crowd sang Do Re Mi in the tunnel.”

Bowl parking is no less than a nightmare, so it can be frightening to sit in a stopped vehicle while aware that there is a fire nearby. Also, some of the roads were blocked off to allow fire vehicles access to the fire.

The fire department described the blaze as “stubborn,” or difficult to put out. There were no injuries, and the only thing harmed was the vegetation. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
