Kate Winslet is having a resurgence in Hollywood after starring in HBO’s Mare of Easttown in 2021. She’s known primarily for her iconic role in Titanic (1997) and The Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. The actress also stars in the highly anticipated sequel of James Cameron’s Avatar.
Winslet recently suffered a fall during a shoot in Croatia for a film. The star accidentally fell down on the shooting location for the upcoming film, Lee. She received medical attention on the scene.
The star is currently hospitalized, though it’s a purely precautionary measure. Her representative told ET that she isn’t injured from the fall, and will resume shooting as per her schedule.
She is fine and will be filming, as planned, this week.
Winslet’s upcoming film, Lee, is a historical drama from the World War II era. She plays the role of the photographer Lee Miller, who was a correspondent for Vogue as she covered the events of World War II.
Kate Winslet scored an Emmy win for her role in Mare of Easttown. The show was set up as a mini-series so it’s unclear whether there’s going to be another season for it. She told ET that while there are ideas for it, nothing can be said until there’s a script on the table.
