Pete Davidson announced his departure from “Saturday Night Live” and that surprised fans and peers alike. Now another longtime member has announced his decision to leave the hit show.
According to Deadline, Chris Redd is the latest SNL cast member to bid adieu to the show. Redd joined as a featured player in season 43 and has been on for five seasons. Read his statement below.
“Being a part of SNL has been the experience of a lifetime. Five years ago, I walked into 30 Rock knowing that this was an amazing opportunity for growth. Now, with friends who have become family and memories I will cherish forever, I’m grateful to Lorne Michaels and to the entire SNL organization. From the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank you all enough.”
Saturday Night Live saw mass exits after Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Pete Davidson announced they won’t be returning to the show for future seasons.
