Mystikal Enters Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ In Heinous Assault Case

Mystikal is not a stranger to getting sued, as he often has run-ins with the law. However, this time he’s facing serious charges. The rapper, real name Michael Tyler, was arrested in July for his connection with a domestic incident.

The Associated Press reports that the rapper got indicted on nine criminal charges. One of those criminal charges also includes first-degree rape, which is very serious. This is not the first time Mystikal has faced this charge, however.

In this particular instance, the woman accusing the rapper said that he didn’t only rape her, but held her despite her denial. Mystikal is facing charges such as alleged assault, false imprisonment, criminal damage to property, robbery, and other drug charges.

Mystikal’s attorney, Joel Pearce, said while speaking to AP that the rapper doesn’t interact with drugs, and doesn’t understand what the authorities were talking about. He has fully denied the allegations and pled not guilty to the charges brought up to him.

My client doesn’t even do drugs, so he has absolutely no idea what they were talking about.

The rapper is no stranger to being jailed. He spent 18 months in jail for a 2017 first-degree rape charge. He was also accused of sexual assault back in 2004 and spent 6 years in jail. When he was released in 2010, he was ordered to register as a sex offender. Mystikal is currently behind bars once again without bond.
