Doja Cat is one of the most popular pop stars in the industry right now, as her passion continues to inspire fans. She has had a busy summer, ending her Twitter spat with Rolling Ray and shaving her head and eyebrows entirely bald. Doja Cat teased her followers about the genres of her upcoming album, saying it would be R&B, experimental jazz, and rock.
Doja Cat recently discussed her upcoming album on Twitter. She called it an R&B record first, then an experimental jazz album, and finally a rock album. In the first piece in the series, she addressed a previous interview in which she had mentioned that she would be releasing an album about German rave culture.
I’m doing an R&B album. Straight R&B no rap at all.
Yall I was lying. I’m doing an experimental jazz album. I thought it would be funny to steer you into believing i was doing r&b cuz i knew it would work but I’m doing experimental jazz now, honest truth.
After a few more tweets, Doja posted a video declaring that she was “being serious now” and that “Rock Out Vol. 1: The Abyss 5000” was the title of her upcoming rock album. Doja’s latest full-length album, Planet Her, came out more than a year ago.
Several commercially successful songs, such as “Kiss Me More,” “Need to Know,” “Woman,” and “Get Into It (Yuh),” promoted the project. Throughout, Young Thug, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, JID, and SZA made cameos. Check out Doja Cat‘s latest series of tweets below.
