While Conor McGregor has backed up his trash talks in the past, more often than not, they have also resulted in embarrassing defeats for him. McGregor also doesn’t hold any title in the UFC.
Floyd Mayweather is regarded as one of the greatest professional boxers to have ever stepped foot inside a boxing ring and has been credited for bringing life to other combat sports as well. This includes his high profile boxing match against Conor McGregor a few years ago, which changed the combat sports world as we know it.
While speaking to TMZ Sports, Floyd Mayweather made it clear that he really wants to square off against Conor McGregor in a real fight and not an exhibition next year.
“Hopefully me and Conor Mcgregor can link up in 2023 in a real fight.”
Conor McGregor previously hinted at moving to the welterweight division once he returns to the Octagon. It remains to be seen whether they will face each other again next year or not.
