Kanye West Confirms He Is No Longer Signed To Universal Music Group

Kanye West remains one of the biggest names in the world of hip-hop, but he is also a true genius when it comes to business as well. His accolades simply speak for themselves. Naturally, any play from Ye will be a big deal, and this is no exception.

The ‘Donda’ rapper previously called out GAP for holding a meeting without him. He then accused GAP of copying his designs and took shots at the retail giant for other reasons and then made some fire memes on the whole ordeal.

This ultimately led to Kanye West severing ties with GAP, ending their partnership for good. While speaking during a recent podcast, Kanye West revealed that he is no longer signed to the Universal Music group.

It’s not money, it’s position because someone in between or at a higher position could determine your fate and they could have way less money, so when I made a joke about you work in Universal, I could do that because I’m no longer at Universal. So you’re no longer the Executive that could talk to me like I’m not me, I don’t work for you no more.

Kanye West seems to be cutting ties with many companies at this point in time. We will have to wait and see whether he will form new partnerships to make up for it or not.
