Triple H has dedicated his life to pro wrestling, and it appears he will do so indefinitely. Fans always stay eager to see wrestling headlines from the icon, and it seems that the time has come. Recently Triple H took the initiative and distributed new WWE titles to a championship team after the WNBA wrapped up their season.
The Las Vegas Aces won the WNBA Championship in four games over the Connecticut Sun this past Sunday, giving Las Vegas its first professional sports crown. The Aces’ achievement piqued the interest of WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Levesque officially congratulated the Aces on Twitter. As he shared an image of the WWE “Raw” Women’s Championship with personalized side plates for the new WNBA Champions, he vowed the party would continue on the Strip.
This is nothing new for WWE, as Levesque and WWE have previously awarded championships to WNBA champions such as the Chicago Sky and Seattle Storm. The Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers have all received personalized belts from WWE.
Former Storm player Anriel Howard signed with WWE in 2020 and currently fights for “NXT” as Lash Legend, extending WWE’s relationship with the WNBA beyond custom titles. However, Thirsty congratulates the Las Vegas Aces on their victory. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more information.
