Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh worked together in the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling. The film stars Harry Styles and actor Chris Pine as well. There has recently been gossip surrounding movie’s co-stars getting into a fight. The crew members have come out to refute those claims.
According to ET, Don’t Worry Darling crew members signed a statement adamantly rejecting rumors that an onset rift between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh supposedly led to a “screaming match.” Miri Yoon, the film’s producer, stated that she wanted to put an end to the rumors that Vulture started once and for all.
The initial report from the outlet claimed Pugh resented Wilde because of her alleged frequent disappearances with Styles. Following the news, the 40-person team felt it was time to openly confront the claims and present a unified front one day after Don’t Worry Darling was released in theaters. The statement also praised Wilde’s abilities as a filmmaker.
As a crew, we’ve avoided addressing the absurd gossip surrounding the movie we’re so proud of, but feel the need to correct the anonymous ‘sources’ quoted in a recent article, Any allegations about unprofessional behavior on the set of Don’t Worry Darling are completely false.
Olivia is an incredible leader and director who was present with and involved in every aspect of production. She ran this set with class and respect for everyone involved. There was never a screaming match between our director and anyone, let alone a member of our cast.
The film is Wilde’s first big directorial attempt, and everyone expects it to be a success. Staying clear of unfavourable headlines will help the film’s future, and the production crew has made that a priority.
