Elon Musk and Twitter almost had a deal, but things just didn’t work out. Now, the Tesla founder is furious at the Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, and his legal team might pursue him.
TMZ reports that the Twitter CEO no-showed depositions for Musk’s legal team. This came after his attorneys flew out to the West Coast for the meeting.
Sources with direct knowledge of the case tell TMZ … Elon’s attorneys flew out to the West Coast Monday to conduct Agrawal’s deposition in Twitter’s lawsuit against Elon for backing out of his purchase of the company. Sources close to Elon say Parag unexpectedly no-showed, but folks at Twitter say that’s BS.
It is reported both sides agreed to reschedule the deposition on Sunday, and it will happen later this week due to “personal reasons.” That story came from Twitter’s side, because Musk’s camp is pretty peeved about the situation.
Now, Musk’s legal team might ask the judge to hold Parag in contempt for skipping out. If they can pull that off, it could mean consequences even before the trial. That trial is set to start on October 17th, and it might be quite a show.
