Chief Keef Ridicules Claim That DJ Akademiks ‘Helped Make’ Him

Chief Keef has responded to recent statements made against him by DJ Akademiks and Charlamagne Tha God, and he doesn’t seem to care what they say.

TMZ recently asked Chief about his thoughts on his remarks against his status as a pioneer. Chief Keef was not considered one of Hip Hop’s most influential by Charlamagne. Akademiks stated last year that he was responsible for the rapper’s breakout and the popularity of drill music.

When questioned if he knows anything about Akademiks getting him “hot,” Keef grinned and said, “The f***?” He then mocked Akademiks’ thorough coverage of the several lethal Chicago rap feuds.

“The war on Chi-raq, the war on Chi-raq, the fuck,” Keef added. “Just remember the war in Chi-raq or whatever the fuck he was calling that shit.”

In the case of Charlamagne Tha God, Chief Keef disregarded his most influential rapper claims and is unconcerned since everyone knows who he is and what he’s done. “I don’t care,” Keef said. “Charlamagne he got his own opinion. I don’t give no f***.”

The reporter then questioned Keef whether he doesn’t care about people’s opinions, referring to him as the “father of drill,” to which the rapper replied, “We all know this. I get what I’m supposed to get. They know what’s up. Everybody know what’s up.”

Chief Keef’s answer comes only a week after Charlamagne mentioned him on The What?! The Breakfast Club member selected his top four choices for the most influential rappers of all time, but he left out Chief. “I’m not going to say the order number, but there’s four: Kanye [West], JAY-Z, [2]Pac, and [Lil’] Wayne,” Charlagmagne said. “The four most influential rappers of all time.”

When one of the hosts questioned about Chief Keef, he said, “No, you know why I don’t put Chief Keef in there? Because Chief Keef didn’t influence the world, he influenced a sound of a region. Those four people I named literally influenced people all over the world.”
