Harry Styles is having one of the best years of his life. His achievements in music and films seem to know no bounds at the moment. He has now become the artist with the longest-running No. 1 solo on the Billboard charts.
According to Billboard, “As It Was” from Harry’s House spent 15 weeks at the top as of Monday. Due to this, the song holds the record for a British artist’s longest stint at the top of the charts. It currently owns the record for the longest No. 1 without any supporting acts.
Only three other songs have spent more weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart history. With 19 cumulative weeks at the top, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road” remix beats them all. The songs “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber are also present.
Harry is however the only artist to do it solo. “As It Was” was one of Complex’s picks for the year’s top summer tunes this month. Harry’s House, on the other hand, was just mentioned by Complex as one of the finest albums of 2022 so far.
Styles is currently taking in the view from the top of the box office. With just under $20 million, Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling debuted at No. 1 this weekend. With stars like Florence Pugh and Chris Pine starring alongside Harry, it is set to be one of the best releases of the year.
The accolades and achievements keep on coming for the British-born singer. With his immense talents in art and media, Harry is all in to set benchmarks for the industry.
