Taylor Hawkins, the late drummer for the Foo Fighters, was massively honored in Los Angeles. Miley Cyrus, Joan Jett, Brian May, and others took the stage to pay tribute to him. However, it was Dave Chappelle’s unique cover that got fans talking.

The concert marathon, which lasted until 1 a.m., took place Tuesday night at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. It was the second show to Hawkins, with the first taking place earlier this month in London. Fans, on the other hand, were treated to some truly exceptional performances.

Grohl performed ‘Bad Reputation’ with Joan Jett and Travis Barker, Miley performed with Def Leppard, Motley Crue performed, Pink performed ‘Barracuda’ with Nancy Wilson, Alanis Morissette performed with RHCP drummer Chad Smith and then The Foo Fighters took the stage at 11:45 to perform some of their hits. As previously reported, Hawkins’ son Shane joined the band on the drums at the London event, and he did the same during the Los Angeles tribute to play “Hero.”

Hawkins died of a drug-related overdose in March. According to investigators, he had opioids, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines, and other drugs in his system at the time of his death. May his soul Rest In Peace.
