Hailey Bieber has gotten an earful from fans ever since being with Justin Bieber. The Justin and Selena Gomez shippers have given them a hard time as it is. This time, Hailey comes clean about having a healthy conversation with Selena since her marriage.
This past weekend, Hailey talked with Alexandra Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast. She has talked extensively about the level of respect she and Selena shared. Since the wedding, she has genuinely spoken to Selena about the tough matters.
“That’s also why I feel like, well, if everybody on our side knows what happened, and we’re good, and we can walk away from it with clarity and respect, then that’s fine! That brought me a lot of peace. WE know what happened. It is what it is. You’re never going to be able to correct every narrative.”
Their exchange, according to Hailey, gave her a lot of peace. The three of them “knew what happened,” she reaffirmed. Hailey says she’s not trying to speak for Selena or Justin, only relaying what they shared.
Regarding the timing of Justin and Hailey’s relationship, the public has long been perplexed. Justin and Selena were not “in a relationship” when they first started dating, according to Hailey. She argued that rather than continuing their “back and forth” interaction, they were “closing the door.”
Hailey further clarified that she never slept with Justin when he was seeing Selena romantically. Sadly, throughout the years, Jelena supporters have publicly spun a different story. As a result, Hailey has been the target of severe internet bullying and harassment.
“She has been in this industry much longer than I have, so maybe there’s something she knows about how it wouldn’t fix anything. I think that everyone is just trying to create this separation, even though there’s clearly not always separation. I have no expectations. I would never expect someone to do that for me. She doesn’t owe me anything. Neither of us owe anybody anything except respect. I respect her a lot. I think there’s just no expectations. If that was something that she felt was necessary, then that would be amazing. But I respect her. There’s no drama, personally.”
As it appears, there has been a mutual understanding between the three of them. No matter how much the public tries to swing the narrative of the story, they have addressed all the issues privately.
